Everyone loves a good Chicken Pie, and we’ve perfected it! Our Chicken Pie is a labour of love, taking 2 to 3 days to create. The delicious result is well worth the effort. Find it on The Harvest Table at CanD’s Kitchen.
How We Make It
We start by simmering bone-in chicken with fresh vegetables and seasonings in a stockpot. We cover it with water until the chicken is perfectly cooked.
Next, we remove the chicken and vegetables and slowly reduce the remaining liquid to create a rich stock. We debone and carve the chicken, then sauté it with finely chopped onions in a blend of butter and garlic olive oil.
Then we enhance the chicken mixture with our flavourful stock, finely ground cloves, nutmeg, and salt. We keep it simple—no cream, no mushrooms—just pure chicken goodness!
Puff pastry is used for our crust, carefully assembling and decorating each pie. Our Chicken Pie is frozen unbaked, ensuring the pastry stays crisp and the filling moist.
Instructions & Serving Suggestions
Thaw the pie completely before baking in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until golden and crispy. Serve with crispy fries and a fresh Greek salad. For an extra kick, add our Women’s Revenge Chilli sauce.
